I realize I’m behind on posting for my Gratitude Project. We’ve been traveling and spending time with friends and family since Thanksgiving, so there’s not been much time to jump on the computer. That doesn’t mean though that I haven’t stopped to count my blessing every day. Rather, I’m enjoying whatever I’m doing so much more and feel that I am more present with what is going on rather than worrying about shuffling off to tell you all about it. Now, that I have some downtime, I can collect my thoughts and share.
I’m grateful for: nature walks
Because: taking a walk in the woods is so calming. I feel peaceful when I’m taking a hike. We did this with the family on Black Friday. I have to say, I think it was way more productive than shopping!
I’m grateful for: my pooch Riley
Because: she makes me laugh and is always there to give me a snuggle when I need it. She is a little tentative with other people, but I can see that she has a big heart. I love this little girl and am so happy that she is part of our family!
I’m grateful for: lazy Sundays
Because: it’s important to slow down and relax a bit. Sure, I enjoy being busy, but there’s nothing that beats taking it easy every now and then. I’ve been working hard to keep my Sundays free of too many obligations and I have to say, it’s easily one of my favorite days of the week.
