Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Combine water and ginger, tea and cinnamon stick in a sauce pan or pot over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the milk and bring to a soft boil and add the black peppercorns. You will need to bring the milk to a soft boil three times. If you are using an alternative milk, then you don’t need to soft boil three times. Once is enough. The soft boiling of the milk helps to break down the proteins which make milk hard to digest. This makes it easier on the gut!
  3. After the second boil add the cardamom, coriander, nutmeg and saffron.
  4. After the third boil add the sugar.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool for 1-2 minutes. Strain and enjoy!
Recipe Notes

Use coriander and cardamom seeds or pods instead of powders if you desire. Add them to the recipe earlier. If you choose to use cardamom pods, give them a little crack in order to pull out their full aroma.
