Kundalini Prenatal Yoga
Debby is an e-RYT 200. She began teaching yoga in 2006. Motivated by her own desire to become a mom, and to practice yoga through that process, Debby studied prenatal yoga with Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa at Golden Bridge in Los Angeles in 2007. The use of Kundalini Yoga postures, meditations and mantra appealed to Debby as they provide an opportunity for women to connect breath and mind that can be useful throughout a pregnancy, but also in all realms of life. In addition to being certified in Gurmukh’s “Khalsa Way” Prenatal Yoga, Debby is also trained in therapeutic and restorative yoga as well as being a Reiki practitioner.
Jess Purtell, E-RYT, YACEP
Postnatal Postures & Yoga Teacher
Jess, E-RYT, YACEP, has been studying yoga since the 1990s. She was transformed during her first experience, a laughing pranayama class, which left her feeling light, clear and happy. She exclusively took Iyengar style classes and quickly realized how her mind and body reaped the benefits of the practice. It wasn’t until 2008 that Jess took her first vinyasa class and once again fell in love with the fluidity of how the class moved and how yoga made her body feel.
Jess’ practice changed after the birth of her two children, leaving her core weak with a series of new muscle aches and pains. She started focusing on the deep core muscles and once again, watched how her ailments dissipated. This quickly led Jess to become a certified Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor.
Jess’ intention is to teach those to move from their center, creating a more balanced and stable foundation for all things life has to offer. She teaches with the mindset that there is an empowering and sustainable yoga practice accessible to every person who has the desire to find and embrace it.
